Emmanuelle Smith

Emmanuelle Smith, author of Park Life, is an editor and journalist who has worked for the Financial Times, the Bureau of Investigative Journalism and the Big Issue. She holds an MA in Journalism from Goldsmiths College, University of London, a BA in Philosophy from the University of Southampton, and qualified teacher status (QTS).

Emmanuelle is half-French and lives next to a big park in Brixton, South London, with her husband, two young children and cat. Apart from writing, Emmanuelle enjoys outdoor swimming, reading comics and graphic novels, drinking coffee and eating sushi. Her favourite children’s authors include Janet and Allan Ahlberg, Judith Kerr and Shirley Hughes.
