Fisherton Press was founded in September 2013 by Eleanor Levenson, a journalist and author who publishes for grown ups using the name Ellie and for children using the name Eleanor.

The name Fisherton was her maternal grandmother’s maiden name. That side of the family owned a printing business in London’s East End. The name had died out within the family so Eleanor decided that given its publishing link, it would be nice to bring it back to life as the name of her business.

The aim of Fisherton Press is to create books for children that adults also enjoy, whether reading it for the first time or the hundredth time.
